Server/Lodge Assistant

FALL SEASON: October 1 - December 1

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applicants must have a high school diploma

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or work visa

  • Experience working with people

  • Ability to assist in running a clean kitchen

  • Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Available to work evenings/nights and weekends (can be late nights during hunting season)

  • Possible morning shift available

  • Self-starter, ability to work independently, responsible

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The server/lodge assistant is responsible for greeting guests upon their arrival to the lodge.  A clean kitchen, dining room and bar area is imperative and should always be presentable. The server/lodge assistant is responsible for dishes (except pots and pans), emptying trash in common areas, keeping a tidy dining room and bar area (organized, wiped down etc). Additionally, the successful applicants will be responsible for setting the tables, serving plated 4 course meals to guests, serving drinks, keeping drinks filled and clearing dishes. The server/lodge assistant will have other duties as assigned including, but not limited to helping the chef prepare and package lunches for the next day's hunt. All employees are expected to maintain a neat and clean appearance while around the lodge and guests. 

A friendly attitude and socializing with guests is a must to make their lodge experience and Rack and Reel experience the best it can be. We want our guests to leave feeling like family. Room and board available.

Big Game Guide

FALL SEASON: October 1 - December 1

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must have a high school diploma

Must be a U.S. citizen or work visa

Experience communicating  and working with people

CPR and First Aid Certification, Valid Montana Guide license

Montana Independent Contractor license

Have a valid driver's license and reliable 4x4 transportation

Proper hunting gear for species being hunted

Available to work and live at Rack and Reel Montana for minimum of 1 week at a time

Knowledge, skills and experience hunting mule deer, whitetail deer and elk

Physically fit and be able to hike/hunt all day, everyday for the full hunt

Willingness to learn new hunting areas

JOB DESCRIPTION:

It is the guide's responsibility to provide a safe and enjoyable hunt experience. The guide must be amiable and be able to communicate with guests, other guides and lodge staff. Guides must be able to take high quality, trophy photos of the client and their harvest. Guide will be required to field dress, prepare, pack out, cape and properly take care of the animal. When not guiding, guides are expected to assist, as needed, in all areas around the lodge to maintain a safe, clean and well functioning environment. Room and board is provided.

 

A friendly attitude and socializing with guests is a must to make their hunting experience and Rack and Reel experience the best it can be. Even when hunting is tough, its the guide's duty to make the hunt memorable. 

Fly Fishing Guide

SUMMER SEASON: May - September

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applicants must have a high school diploma

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or work visa

  • Experience communicating  and working with people

  • CPR and First Aid Certification, Valid Montana Guide license

  • Montana Independent Contractor license

  • Have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and drift boat or raft

  • Proper fishing gear including fly rods, reels, flies, boat net etc.

  • Knowledge, skills and experience fly fishing, especially from drift boat

  • Willingness to learn new rivers in our area

Guide must be able to take high quality, trophy photos of the client and their catch. Rack and Reel is permitted to fish the Madison, Big Hole and Beaverhead rivers. We also may fish the Jefferson and Ruby rivers. Lodging is available.

A friendly attitude and socializing with guests is a must to make their fishing experience and Rack and Reel experience the best it can be.
